Overall Played 6, Won 5, Drawn 1. Tries for: 43 Tries against: 34
Make no mistake, Oakham are a very good club and they had 2 strong sides that proved to be a real test for our boys. What is clear is that we seem to be able to score tries when it matters, no less than when the reds scored with the last play of the last match to snatch a draw and ensure that we ended the morning undefeated.
To be critical we need to work harder on defending the tries we do score and generally stop giving away soft tries when our tagging could be more committed.
But, overall another successful and entertaining morning for the boys with some exciting rugby all round.
Once again, there were some great individual tries and support running - fantastic to see.
Player of the Day for the Red Team was Thomas Hinchliffe who played his best rugby of the season
Player of the Day for the Green Team was Miles Kane who put in a great all round performance including a try where he ran the length of the pitch form our own try line.
Star of the Day was Sam Williams for some sensational work in defence and attack (albeit stay away from the touchline Sam!)
Individual stars apart, all the boys continue to contribute across the board.
Thank you as ever to all of our fantastic supporters on the touchline. Special thanks to Matt & Alison Kane for helping keep score with so much going on!
See you at training on Sunday!
